It might have even surpassed my love for sewing on my pages or at least tied with it, which I never thought would happen. Hey everyone! I really hope you like today's video. In today's vBlog, I show how to create quick-and-easy mini albums, including a gated mini album, using patterened cardstock and glue. It's a fast, fun and inexpensive project.

Happy Friday! I hope everyone is having a great month so far. It's going by so fast, isn't it? I've been keeping myself busy this month with research and some writing for BHG. I'm also trying to adjust to my kids being back in school. With dropping and picking up the kids from school and other activities - not to mention play dates and birthday parties - it really fragments the day. I'm sure all the moms out there with kids in school and doing extracurricular activities, know exactly what I mean. It's hard to get any work done and tiring too, but hey, we're moms, that's what we do :)
This weekend, I'm cleaning my house and scrapbooking. I'm working on a new project and I can't wait to share it with you. I hope to give you a sneak peek next week. I'm making this project to teach on the Girlfriends Cruise. If you haven't made vacation or scrapbooking plans for next year, check it out - it's going to be super fun. Want to see a digi page that I made?
I made my first 100% digital page this week. Although I use my computer almost every time I create a page or project (for photo editing, journaling, adding digital elements, etc.) I only have used it as part of my page or project. So this time, I wanted to try a 100% digi page just for fun. I created the page for the October On Assignment challenge for Scrapbooks etc. You can see my digi page HERE.

Hi all! Happy September! In this week's video, Johanna and Donna create very fun projects using the new Pinecone press kit which has My Minds Eye Halloween papers plus a chipboard album and other fun embellishments. I just took the scraps left over from Johanna's kit and glued them onto some mini paper bags - very simple but fun and frugal. Girlfriends Get-a-way Cruise If you haven't heard yet, Johanna, Donna and I are doing a cruise in May 2010. It's going to be a blast! 5 nights, 3 classes, 3 mini classes, a photography workshop, and tons of cropping! We're really looking forward to just hanging out scrapbooking with everyone. And even though it's a "Girlfriends" cruise, it doesn't mean you have to leave your husband and kids at home (unless you really want to, heehee). There is so much for everyone to do on this Royal Carribean cruise ship! We all plan to bring family and friends along with us. On October 3rd, I'll be back at the Bee - this time, teaching a Halloween wreath made using Making Memories brand new collection "Spook Alley". The little stitched felt ghosts are so cute, aren't they? Nice work MM! :) In addition to the Halloween wreath, I'm setting up a candy buffet and everyone will be able to make a treat bag or goodie box (pictured on the right) filled with candy, of course!

Good day, friends! In this week's video, Donna and I talk about basic tools and supplies for the new scrapbooker. It's an idea that we got from YOU - several of our viewers are new scrapbookers and some have emailed or posted on our blogs this year requesting we do a video about what's needed to get started in this wonderful craft. So Donna and I had fun walking around the Red Bee in Tustin, CA. If you're ever in Southern California, you should drop by. You'll be SO glad you did - especially this time of year when they start filling it with Fall and Winter crafts and decor - gorgeous stuff! It's a large craft store with tons of scrapbook product. Whenever I'm in Orange County visiting family or friends, I always make a point to drop by - it's that good!

This Saturday, August 22nd, I'm teaching in San Diego at a Scrappin Escapes retreat. There will be lots of cropping at the retreat and a nice variety of really cool classes to choose from. If you're interested in just taking a class and not the whole retreat, you can do that too. You can sign up for a class in advance or even the spot. The composition of the book is similar to the girlfriends book shown above but this Holiday book is for keeping all of those most favorite Holiday memories, traditions, recipes, photos, music and cards in one cute mini book. Hey everyone! I wanted to let you know about a cool charity event that I'm a part of later this month at the Pink Pineapple in Vista, CA. The event is Operation Showers of Appreciation Crop and it will benefit military families who are expecting babies - isn't that cool?! The event will be on August 29th and it's a 12-hour crop!
This event is organized by Scrapbook Royalty which means it's a cream-of-the-crop crop! There will be great prizes, goodies left for everyone by "fairy fly bys", tea time, and more. I'm really looking forward to it. Making Memories is a sponsor of this event (thanks sooo much, MM!) and is donating all the product for my class! Shown above a couple pictures of the project that I'll be teaching at the event. It's a photo pennant banner made using MM's brand new Vintage Findings papers and embellishments (love this collection!).
